School Readiness Is Becoming An Issue Of Concern Essay
In early childhood education, school readiness has been becoming an issue of concern. Early childhood educators have the responsibility to prepare the child to demonstrate certain skills, behaviour and abilities that are essential for getting them ââ¬Ëreadyââ¬â¢ and their ââ¬Ëacademic-successââ¬â¢. Children are prepared to excel in certain key areas of learning so that they can meet certain kindergarten standards and expectations of curriculum. Trial of New Drinks in the Market
Question: Discuss about the Report for Trial of New Drinks in the Market. Answer: Introduction This is the analysis of the mixture drinks conducted in Australia in the month of September, November and December. The mixture drinks which were introduced to the market are the: Almond passion, Lime soda, Mango delight, Raspberry soda, Tripple shot Espresso and the Cranberry Wizz. The drinks were being sold in 300 ml cans with the wholesale price ranging at $1.50. Almond Passion Almond passion was sold by four retailers in victoria Tasmania, and three retails in each of the other regions. Each retailer had three stores in each region in the place to conduct the trial. The trial started as a low note in all regions with the best region selling 33,412 cans. The total cans sold on the month of September were 439615. This was maybe the almond passion was new in the market and there were less customers who knew it. In the next month of October, there was increase in the sale of Almond passion. The number increased from 439,615 to 553068. This was a good increase in number of the cans sold. Some reasons which may have contributed to this number of can sold could be consumers had known the existence of the new product in the market and had liked it. Coming the month of November, the company loss some of its consumers. The number sold had reduced to 455825 this may had been due to adjustment by the competitors and also the company relaxing after increase in the pre vious month. In the final month of the trial, the sale of Almond juice raised again to 527326 this was the second best sales which was achieved in the entire trial. Total of 1975834 of the almond passion was sold during the trials. The region with the best sales was QLD NT with the total of 721839 cans. Other regions were NSW with 513772, WA SA with 460590 and VIC and TAS at 279633 Cranberry Wizz This drink was only sold by one retailer in 4 regions. The retailor who was involved in the sales was DAN MURPHY'S. In the four regions, November was when high sales were experienced at 206371 cans and December only 55 cans were sold in which 3 regions recorded a record of Zero cans. On the first month the sales were 168,453 then the next month the sales reduced to 150640 cans then it increased to 206371. In December the sales reduced to more than 905 with only 55 sold. This is a very big drop and Collins must check reasons to why Cranberry dropped to this number. WA SA were the best sellers of this product at 155788 cans. VIC TAS experienced low sales at 119612 while 123368 and 126751 were sold by NSW and QLD ELT respectively. Lime soda It was sold in 4 region with 3 retailors. The total number of cans sold was 428008. The region which had the highest sales was the WA SA at 130,406. It was followed closely with the NSW at 123,956 while the lowest sale was recorded by VIC and TAS at 60132 while the QLD NT received 113514 cans. According to how the sales were done, the sales of lime water reduced from September to December. It started at 300722 in September but in October, it had reduced by more than 50% and 76109 cans were sold. The cans sold in November further reduced to 37696 but in December there was more than 100% increase of cans sold in November. Mango Delight This type of drink was sold in 4 regions by one retailer. The region where a lot of Mango Delight was sold was the QLD NT. A total of 29053 cans were sold in this area. Another region where there was a good feedback was in WA SA where 28724 cans were sold. The juice was also accepted in NSW and a total of 242886 cans were sold finally the region with low sales was VIC TAS. Raspberry Soda Same to Mango delight, RASPBERRY SODA was also sold by one retailer in the 4 region. A total of 247802 cans were sold with the NSW region selling more than half. The sales started well in the first month but reduced in the last month. Triple Shot Expresso This another type of mixer drink which was sold in all the trial regions with the most retailors. A total of 1096848 of this product were sold during the 4 months. The sales had positive feedback increasing from September to December. In December, the sales started at 213894 and in December it was boosted to 402767. Total Number Of Sales Per Month The total number of cans sold during the trial was 5448531 September 1413853 October 1412274 November 1333572 December 1288857 According to the analysis, the sales of product reduced monthly from September to December. Retailers performance In the trial marketing of the mixtures, this how the retailors managed to operate CELLARBRATIONS 1150649 DANMURPHYS 2418035 DANCANS 177038 THIRSTY CAMEL 170289 The retailors can be represented in the diagram as below Duncans was the most active retailor selling more than 50% of the total cans. He worked in all the region and sometimes selling the product single handed. Conclusion. If the recommendations are put in place, there will be boost in the sale of new product and they will perform well in the market. Collins should contact more retailors in areas where there was only one retailor selling a given product. By doing this, the market will spread and the company will have new market. The company should also act on the complains of customer to ensure there is better service. During the entire process, there is reduction of the sales from September to December. This can be avoided by actively advertising the product and putting consumers complain into consideration so as to satisfy them fully There should be more sales by retailors in the regions where there were only one retailors and this will boost the number of the product being sold. Finally the actions of close competitors should be watched so that better options can be offered to the customers. This will maintain the existing customers and even attract more customers.

Madeline Barnard Essays - Religion, Culture, Cultural Anthropology
Madeline Barnard Professor Coffey HS/102/01 September 20, 2016 European Witch Hunts The European witch-hunt lasted for sixty years causing constant turmoil throughout Europe. Due to the constant tension, women started to be accused of witchcraft. Religious conviction and science caused many questions to appear, as people started to panic about the alleged "witches". From 1570 to 1630 women were being targeted for witchcraft. Most people believed these women were witches because of their sex, their economic or social status, or because they were considered vulnerable. Due to the fact vulnerable women were thought to lack power and family support, they were common targets of the accusers. The women that were targeted also were "usually impoverished" (Hoak 1271). Also, Europe during this time period was war stricken and was facing a social upheaval, so resources were very scarce. This is how witch hunters justified their actions of eliminating "witches". People believed that these helpless women wanted more power to control their enemies and that's why they participated in witchcraft. I believe that that the socioeconomic conditions of this time period had a tremendous impact on the witch craze. For example, there was a lack of resources, which made life a challenge for the "witches" but their accusers as well. The accuser had no problem killing off "witches" due to the socioeconomic issues. Additionally, I feel as though the Scientific Revolution and the Reformation both played a major part in the witch craze. For instance, the Reformation made people feel as though god was not present in everyday life. As seen in the textbook on page 49, Protestants thought, " the symbols and rituals have provided a sense of protection" (text) were missing. As more questions arose about science people began to question everyday life and the unknown. Which contributed to the witch-hunt, craze and caused many questions to arise. I think that because everyone was questioning science they needed something to believe and that's were witches came in. By attempting to reconcile religious conviction with science it brought on the witch-hunts. I strongly agree with Dale Hoak's assessment of the witch craze because witch hunting appears to have been a socially destructive by product of the European transition to modernity.

South African Apartheid-Era Identity Numbers
South African Apartheid-Era Identity Numbers The South African Identity Number of the 1970s and 80s enshrined the Apartheid era ideal of racial registration. It was brought in to effect by the 1950à Population Registration Actà which identified four different racial groups: White, Coloured, Bantu (Black) and others. Over the next two decades, the racial classification of both the Coloured and other groups were extended until by the early 80s there was a total of nine different racial groups being identified. Black Land Act Over the same period, the Apartheid government introduced legislation creating independent homelands for Blacks, effectively making them aliens in their own country. The initial legislation for this actually dated back to before the introduction of Apartheid- the 1913à Black (or Natives) Land Act, which had created reserves in the Transvaal, Orange Free State, and Natal provinces. The Cape province was excluded because Blacks still had a limited franchise (entrenched in the South Africa Act which created theà Union) and which required a two-thirds majority in parliament to remove. Seven percent of the land area of South Africa was dedicated to roughly 67% of the population. With the 1951à Bantu Authorities Actà the Apartheid government lead the way for the establishment of territorial authorities in the reserves. The 1963à Transkei Constitution Actà gave the first of the reserves self-government, and with the 1970à Bantu Homelands Citizenship Actà and 1971à Bantu Homelands Constitution Actà the process was finally legalised. QwaQwa was proclaimed the second self-governing territory in 1974 and two years later, through the Republic of Transkei Constitution Act, the first of the homelands became independent. Racial Categories By the early 80s, through the creation of independent homelands (orà Bantustans), Blacks were no longer considered true citizens of the Republic. The remaining citizens of South Africa were classified according to eight categories: White, Cape Colored, Malay, Griqua, Chinese, Indian, Other Asian, and Other Colored. The South African Identity Number was 13 digits long. The first six digits gave the birth date of the holder (year, month, and date). The next four digits acted as a serial number to distinguish people born on the same day, and to differentiate between the sexes: digits 0000 to 4999 were for females, 5000 to 9999 for males. The eleventh digit indicated whether the holder was ââ¬â¹an SA citizen (0) or not (1)- the latter for foreigners who had rights of residency. The penultimate digit recorded race, according to the above list- from Whites (0) to Other Coloured (7). The final digit of the ID number was an arithmetical control (like the last digit on ISBN numbers). Post-Apartheid The racial criteria for identity numbers was removed by the 1986à Identification Actà (which also repealed the 1952à Blacks (Abolition of Passes and Co-ordination of Documents) Act, otherwise known as the Pass Law) whilst the 1986à Restoration of South African Citizenship Actà returned citizenship rights to its Black population.

Repulse travel Pharmaceuticals Coursework Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words
Repulse travel Pharmaceuticals - Coursework Example In order to find out the profitability of the product the Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) accumulated from the product needs to be calculated. Based on the financial data estimates the EBIT of the product is calculated. However the calculation of EBIT, the depreciation was also needed to be calculated on a straight line basis based on the formula: Depreciation= (Historical cost- Residual value)/ Life of the Asset (Gupta, & Sharma, n. d, p.376) In order to calculate the EBIT, the sales value was considered and the total amount of fixed cost and variable cost was subtracted to get the ultimate results (Correia, et al, 2007, p.3-4). Based on the calculation shown in Appendix 2 the company will reap a profit of ?185,000 annually from the launch of the new product. However the figures of sales are based on assumption. The change in market condition and the rise of competitor in the market however can cause a variability in the sales which has not been considered in the calculation of the EBIT or the operating profit of the product. After the profitability of the project is considered, a look at the total cash flow using the undiscounted method is taken into consideration. For the calculation of the cash flow, the difference of the cash inflow and the cash outflow is considered. An assumption has been made in the calculation of the cash flow as the cash inflows are taken to be constant for the five years. Total cash flow is calculated based on the formula of Total cash flow = Total of cash inflow ââ¬â Cash outflow. (Ahmed & Meehan, 2011, p.599) The calculation done on Appendix 3 shows that the total cash flow of the company is ?475000 However the undiscounted method for cash flow evaluation does not provide a true picture as the future value of the money... The research analyzes the feasibility of the new product to be launched by Repulse Travel Pharmaceutical. During the analysis, the data have been taken based on the estimate of the research. The financial parameters which have been taken into consideration are the payback period, Net Present Value analysis, and Sensitivity analysis. The result of the payback period reveals that the product will take a period of 3.5 years to generate the total amount invested by the organization in its implementation. Considering the total lifetime of the project to be 5 years as decided by the company, the time period of 3.5 years seems predominantly long. However further studies were conducted and the result of the discounted cash flow analysis, involving NPV suggested that the project has a positive result and is quite viable to be implemented. In the sensitivity analysis factors of demand and the selling price was manipulated to observe the change in NPV under each case. The results show that the decrease in demand or the selling price of the product will put the product in danger. However it is suggested that the organization can implement the product if they can maintain a constant demand of the product and they should be specific in not decreasing the unit selling price below 10 percent from the original value of 7, as found in the sensitivity analysis. Further the organization must consider a thorough market analysis to understand how the product will perform in the market after a comparative analysis of the competitors.
